A true friend of masking tape
Tonight I have been painting baseboards (or skirtingboards as they are called in the UK).
You start off ok, this is no problem, fresh paint, brush and fresh surface, but then you notice oh I have gone a bit over here.
So you wipe it off with a bit of paper or your finger and carry on.
That was easy, still no problem.
Then it happens again..... oops.
So you you the same piece of paper to wipe it off, except now the paper already has wet paint on it, so it smudges. Thats ok you think I will use my finger.
Now you have wet paint on your finger, so lean across to get another piece of paper to clean you finger. In learning cross, not wanting to knockover the paint can, you bend over an reach, but now your sleeve is in the paint can lid, which you have left open.
Not noticing this as you sit up, you now brush you trousers, now it it you sleeve and trousers.
Awh no you think, and brush it off instictively with your hand, more on the hand.
Determined to carry on you sit down on the floor, paint on the floor.
"How long will this take", it is now on your watch.
Just a good job I am not doing the ceiling!
Be careful, painting is not easy.
Masking tape is a great invention too, allows for much greater margin of error!
