A to E of Crisis Management
In the world of business there are just some words that are emotive, create a huge amount of concern and needless to say additional work.
Use of these words is highly cautioned as people can easily jump to incorrect conclusions and assumptions before all the facts are known.
Now sometimes, in order to fix the issue (as they normally need fixing), there is no avoiding it, they have to be discussed.
In such situations a well understood code needs to be used. The true status of the issue can then be safely discussed and resolved quickly, quietly within the group, without raising undue concern!
A-E of Crisis Management
A status - all is okay, the results we see are merely an ANOMALY
B status - we are getting concerned, there may be a BACKLOG in work
C status - this is more serious and leads after an unresolved B status item, CRISIS
D status - time to start panicking and looking concerned, DISASTER has stuck
E status - okay, now the world is falling in, is completely out of hand, could be unrecoverable, time for the EXIT strategy
