Chicken wings up 52%. This is a concerning chart of the day for sure.
Could this be a chicken wing bubble? Clearly a lack of liquidity in the wing market.
Not good for superbowl fans, guys in bars and especially not good for the poor old chicken.
(hat tip to CBC and Bloomberg for picking this up)
The CHART OF THE DAY shows that wholesale prices for wings sold by processors in Georgia, the biggest chicken state, are up 52 percent in the past year, while whole birds rose just 6.2 percent.
Good tips re wine. I never know.
When you stick your nose in a glass of wine, what do you smell? Most of the time, the aroma will be fruity, floral or spicy. The wine may even be earthy or smell of smoked meats (as in a Northern Rhone Syrah), or buttery and tropical. All pleasant scents. But what if you smell rotten eggs, wet newspaper or a barnyard? More than likely that wine is flawed. And that’s a wine you don’t want to keep in your glass. If you’re at home, dump it down the drain; at a bar or restaurant, send it back (more on this later).
I keep getting this error when trying to upgrade a software package.
Below is the way around it that works.
Run as Administrator in Vista – WinMatrix
If you use Vista Start Menu search box for launching your apps, you can run any command you type in as an administrator by holding down CTRL + Shift and then pressing Enter.
Although it’s a common belief that 8 hours of sleep is required for optimal health, a six-year study of more than one million adults ages 30 to 102 has shown that people who get only 6 to 7 hours a night have a lower death rate. Individuals who sleep 8 hours or more, or less than 4 hours a night, were shown to have a significantly increased death rate compared to those who averaged 6 to 7 hours.
The last couple of times there seemed big earthquakes during these events (coinciding with a full/new moon)
Conspiracy theorists say there is a relationship. Scientists, that there is not.
Either way there will be possibility of strong geomagnetic storms.
Space Weather News for Jan. 23, 2012
INCOMING CME: Big sunspot 1402 erupted on Jan. 23rd, producing a strong M9-class solar flare and a fast-moving coronal mass ejection (CME). Analysts at the Goddard Space Weather Lab say the CME should reach Earth on Jan. 24th at 14:18 UT (+/- 7 hr) and Mars a little more than a day later. Strong geomagnetic storms are possible when the cloud reaches Earth. Our magnetic field is still reverberating from a CME impact on Jan. 22nd, so another blow could spark impressive auroras at high latitudes. Sky watchers in northern Europe, Canada, Alaska, and northern-tier US states such as the Dakotas, Minnesota and Wisconsin should be alert for Northern Lights.
This is a new one for me…. ‘monkey brain’… It strikes, I need to blog..
Taking a long time to fall asleep is one of the symptoms of insomnia, but it’s also a special problem that makes napping incredibly hard if not impossible. It’s been called “monkey brain” before, where you lie awake thinking about sleep but taking seemingly forever to get there.
I recently purchases a Google Nexus S smart phone.
Have been really pleased with it, however was starting to get frustrated with the Battery life.
It only lasted a day it seemed, even with everything turned off.
Anyhow, after searching online, found an app that helps. Juice defender.
Increased the battery life by a factor of 3x.
Recommended, and is free.
